I
spend a great deal of time in nature, so when I read the recommended time of “at
least fifteen minutes per day”, I jokingly said to myself, “That’s it!?”
My
reflections on this week’s questions:
-As
you spend time in nature, what changes do you notice in yourself?
My
Self remains as it is; it is my self that is released from the daily
bombardment of artificial lighting, artificial heating/air, blaring noises,
garish lights, endless commercials, and the like. When outside I am who I truly am.
-As
you spend time in nature, do you see things you've never noticed before?
Every
moment spent in nature is a moment of Self discovery; and that is an endless
well of wonder.
-Did
you have any new experiences?
All
moments are new .. quickened and alive .. pulsing and sensuous.
-If
so, what were they?
Always and many. Runic voices, feathered bodies, falling
waters, threaded gestures, humming dragonflies, whispering oaks, engulfing darkness, dew on spider
web, the sensible and sensitive, the walking song, explosive energy, terrain
and time, a bit of scat, cicada muses, scáth and scáil, quivering depths,
lizard scratchings, the whirl of leaves, gaze pierce, centrifugal space, hollow
earth, long ago in the future, holy air, dense savagery, creation prayer,
kindredness of matter, energetic spontaneity, pose of the pure, floating
surfaces, lost bearings, wending wood, Deus Natura, minding unseen depths, desires
end, rippling thunder, thrush call, shaded fungus, hamsa
soham, strata upon strata, kestrel eyes, Stand at Zero ..
In
all, I am left wide open, engulfed and awash with these kinfolk of mine!
